Mindfulness for Children

Through effective Mindfulness tools and techniques, children develop the ability to regulate their emotions, improve concentration, enhance resilience and become happier and more joyful.  Each session within this program has a strong emphasis on experiential learning and explores new facets of Mindfulness.

Lessons focus on cultivating intention, attention and attitude and allow the child to manage difficult thoughts and emotions and become more compassionate towards others, and themselves. It has also proven to be highly effective for children dealing with exam stress, social media pressure and school bullying.

The Happy Owl program is a 12 lesson introduction to mindfulness for 7 to 11-year-olds, with a strong emphasis on experiential learning. It’s 12 one-hour lessons build up sequentially, introducing and exploring new facets of mindfulness with each lesson.

Length: 12 sessions
Intensity: 1 hour per week
Ideal for : Children 7-11 years old
